Reincidencia consists of 3 videos. Each video documents the same action performed during different days by the same free bird. Every day, over approximately one month, I watched the bird returned to the same place and performed the same action: persistently peck a mirror leaning against a wall. To the bird, the reflection of those trees may have seemed like a hole in the wall... The pecking produces a disturbing metallic sound while the vibrations in the mirror quash the reflection, and in doing so, also blocking the possibility of trespassing to that other open space. Day after day, the bird kept pecking the mirror, therefore, confronting the same image of reality that both rejects him and reestablish itself, over and over again. Despite his failures, the bird comes back and performs the same action.
Reincidencia consta de 3 videos. Cada video documenta la misma acción realizada durante diferentes días por el mismo pájaro libre. Todos los días, durante aproximadamente un mes, observé al pájaro regresar al mismo lugar y realizar la misma acción: picotear persistentemente un espejo apoyado contra una pared. Para el pájaro, el reflejo de esos árboles puede haberle parecido un agujero en la pared ... El picoteo produce un perturbador sonido metálico mientras que las vibraciones en el espejo anulan el reflejo, y al hacerlo, bloquean también la posibilidad de traspasar a ese otro espacio. Día tras día, el pájaro seguía picoteando el espejo, por lo tanto, enfrentándose a la misma imagen de la realidad que al mismo tiempo lo rechaza y se reconstruye a si misma , una y otra vez. A pesar de sus fracasos, el pájaro regresa y realiza la misma acción.
